Tirupati: Energy Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy took a dig at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu for making a bizarre promise to the people of Kuppam assembly constituency. He said Naidu was the Chief Minister of the Telugu state for 14 years, and yet did not build an airport in his own constituency.

Naidu is currently touring his Kuppam constituency to connect with the people. During his visit, the TDP leader announced that if the party is voted to power, the vegetable vendors will be able to sell their produce in the global market. This announcement has taken everyone by surprise as Naidu has been winning from this constituency for decades and yet he failed to develop it and is now making tall promises to win the next elections.

The YSRCP minister said the people of Kuppam assembly segment have seen Naidu’s commitment to developing his own constituency and the people will vote him out this time. He added that the people will no longer believe the hollow words of Naidu who is now selling them the idea of exposure to the global market for their farm produce.

Peddireddy also dismissed rumors that there are differences between him and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that the "yellow media" is spreading malicious propaganda about the ruling YSRCP government as it is desperate to make Naidu as the next chief minister of the state. The YSRCP leader exuded confidence that the YSRCP will retain power in Andhra Pradesh and win the Kuppam seat as well.
