Chandrababu to contest from two seats: Kuppam and Hindupur constituencies?

5 Feb, 2024 15:25 IST|Sakshi Post

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who is out on bail in the AP Skill Development Scam case, is not confident about the party's winning chances in the coming general elections. He already switched alliance with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena party. Both the TDP and Jana Sena are finding it very hard to finalise the seats. Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Naidu would contest from 2 Assembly seats. Apparently, Naidu is not very confident in Kuppam, say highly placed sources. This is why Naidu wants to contest from Hindupur Assembly constituency as well. This is going to be a huge shocker to brother-in-law and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, the sitting MLA of Hindupur. Naidu may move Balakrishna to parliament or any other constituency, say sources.

With this, the TDP cadres in Chittoor and Kadiri are confused. Several party workers are confined to homes owing to the lack of clarity of candidates. On one side, Jana Sena is demanding for more seats, on the other hand, Naidu is unable to find suitable candidates from TDP. Whereas the ruling YSRCP is way ahead in its campaign as CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced "Siddham" (Ready for polls) and conducted two massive public meetings - one in Bheemili (Visakhapatnam district) and the second in Denduluru (Eluru district).

More Siddham events are planned in Anantapur and Nellore or Ongole districts which will be addressed by CM Jagan. The Siddham events doubled the confidence of YSRCP cadres while they're sending shivers down the spine of the opposition parties.
