Watch: CM Jagan Powerful Speech in Hindupur

Hindupur: Launching a blistering attack on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said he has fulfilled all the promises made in the 2019 election manifesto and seeking the people’s ‘blessing’ on the day of polling on May 13 while Naidu has come up with a new set of tricks and conspiracies to deceive the people in the name of election manifesto.

Addressing a massive gathering in Hindupur on Saturday, CM Jagan said the battle of Kurukshetra (polling) will be waged (held) in the next 9 days. Asserting that these elections are not just a political exercise, he said the polling outcome will decide the future of Andhra Pradesh and its people for the next five years, so people should choose their leader wisely.

Highlighting the nearly 40 welfare schemes like Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme, Jagananna Chedodu scheme and YSR Aarogyasri scheme taken up by his YSRCP government, CM Jagan said the state government deposited Rs 2.70 lakh crore into the bank accounts through direct benefit transfer (DBT) to fulfill the dreams of the beneficiaries. He added that the YSRCP government regarded the poll manifesto as a holy book and fulfilled 99 percent of the promises which is unprecedented in the political history of the Telugu state.

CM targeted the previous TDP regime and asked the people if they could recall any welfare scheme initiated by the opposition party. He also asked them if they remember the former chief minister Naidu depositing a single rupee in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

The chief minister cautioned the people against falling into the trap of Naidu and his alliances. He reminded them how the opposition leader made the old and differently-abled men and women stand in line and sabotaged the pension disbursements and welfare schemes. He also debunked the misinformation being spread by the opposition and its friendly media regarding the Land Titling Act. Recently, the YSRCP government has undertaken land resurvey exercises in 15,000 panchayats.
