New Delhi: Ruling YSRCP scripted history by winning all 11 seats in Rajya Sabha which will fall vacant in June this year. By scoring 11 seats, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led party has become the fourth largest political party in Parliament’s Upper House.

BJP leads in Rajya Sabha with 97 members while Congress has 29 and TMC 13 members. In February, the YSRCP had unanimously secured all three Rajya Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. The party nominated Golla Babu Rao, Vaviri Subbareddy, and Meda Raghunath Reddy for three positions. Currently, YSRCP's tally stands at 11 in Rajya Sabha.

The newly elected members — Subbareddy, Babu Rao and Raghunath Reddy will take their oath as Rajya Sabha members in the national capital on Thursday.

After 41 years of the party's existence, TDP finds itself without any representation in Rajya Sabha. The term of TDP member Kanakamedala ended on April 2, 2024, Tuesday.
