5 Sep, 2022 11:29 IST|Sakshi Post

As per the notice issued on eapcet-sche.aptonline.in, “All the candidates are informed that minimum marks in the qualifying examination i.e. Intermediate/equivalent for admissions into professional UG courses in Engineering& Pharma-D courses has been relaxed as one time measure for the academic year 2022-2023 as per the orders received from Government”.

Based on this relaxation, candidates in the General category would need to obtain 45 percent of marks in either PCM or in all subjects in their 1st and 2nd year Inter exams in order to be considered eligible for admissions into engineering or pharmacy programmes. For students in the reserved categories, the passing percentage is 40 percent.

The current rule does not take the marks in all of the subjects of both the intermediate examinations into consideration. Students who cleared the AP Inter Exam with 45 percent marks and 40 percent for reserved candidates in PCM and cleared the AP EAMCET 2022 were considered eligible for the counselling process.

What is the revised criteria?

Students must score a total of 45 percent in PCM subjects in the Intermediate exams (40 percent for reserved categories) in their 2nd year Inter exam will be eligible.
Students must secure 45 percent (40 percent for reserved categories) in all of their subjects during their 1st and 2nd year intermediate exams.
