Amaravati: As the election code of conduct has come into effect in the state, the Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh School Education Suresh Kumar has written to the Election Commission seeking its permission to declare the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET-2024) results and to hold the AP DSC teacher recruitment 2024 exams as per schedule.

In his letter, Suresh Kumar stated that the School Education department is planning to release the AP TET results and also to conduct the DSC-2024 exams as per the directives of Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The School Education department had originally planned to declare the TET results on March 20, 2024. However, due to the enforecement of the election code of conduct, the department has put the results on hold while seeking approval from the Election Commission to announce the TET results and conduct the DSC. Suresh Kumar clarified that as soon as the Election Commission grants its approval, the TET results will be announced and the DSC-2024 examinations will be conducted as scheduled.

He added that following the High Court's directions, 51,000 candidates who had completed B.Ed., have been disqualified from the Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) exams, and their fees will be refunded soon. Additionally, candidates who were unable to apply after paying the fee will also receive a refund.
