'Krishnamma' is directed by VV Gopalakrishna.Touted to be an out-and-out revenge story, what is the conflict point in the film? How has the star cast performed? What are its merits? Let's find out in our review.

Story:

Bhadra (played by Satyadev), Koti (portrayed by Meesala Lakshman), and Shiva (brought to life by Krishna Teja Reddy) share a deep bond. They are orphans and their friendship is undying. Despite their close connection, their paths diverge as Bhadra and Koti find themselves drawn into a false case. Even as their fate hangs in the air, they get sentenced to life. Who orchestrated their downfall, and why? Do they have any escape plans?

Performances:

Satyadev is vigorous in a robust film that relies on mining his acting talent, especially in the action scenes. His character has a light tone in the first half. There is a turnaround of sorts once he and Koti are implicated. Laxman Meesala complements his talent with a lot of foresight. Everyone else in the film has been allowed to act with restraint. While some of the characters are palpably routine, the acting talent of the artists saves the day. Nanda Gopal plays a ruthless cop with an ability to turn the tables.

Technical Departments:

Kaala Bhairava's talent is exceptional, as 'Kartikeya 2' proved in 2022. 'Krishnamma' lets him show his musical imagination in a lot of ways. He shows range as well. The cinematography by Sunny Korrapati is also a plus.

The production values merit applause. Even though Arunachala Creations is a budding banner, the film doesn't seem to have been compromised by budgetary constraints. In a pre-release interview, Satyadev said that the budget of 'Krishnamma' is way above what anybody would expect his films to cost.

Plus Points:

Emotions in the second half.
Revenge plot.

Minus Points:

A few boring moments in the first half.

Verdict:

If you enjoy intense films that involve friendships and revenge, Krishnamma is your kind of cinema. Watch it!
