BRS MLA Meeting with Revanth Reddy Sparks Defection Rumours

Hyderabad: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, the political equation is set to change in Telangana. Bhadrachalam MLA of BRS Tellam Venkat Rao met chief minister Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad on Sunday. He was accompanied by his family members. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was also present in the meeting. 

This is the second time Venkat Rao is meeting the chief minister after the announcement of the assembly election results. The meeting has sparked rumours that he was switching loyalties. 

Later speaking to reporters, Rao dismissed the speculations and said the meeting was to seek funds for carrying out different development works in the Bhadrachalam constituency. He said he’s handed a representation to the chief minister. Rao added that he urged the chief minister to include the five panchayats back into Telangana and also build a dumping yard in the constituency.
