Chiranjeevi Comments On Guntur Kaaram, Hanuman Controversy

8 Jan, 2024 12:04 IST|Sakshi Post

Sankranthi is the best festive season for big and small movies. If the content of a film is interesting, the sky is the limit for that film.

This year, three big Sankranthi movies and one small movie are gearing up for a theatrical release. Superstar Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh's Saindhav, Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga and Teja Sajja's Hanuman are the ones.

Rumors are doing the rounds that a few people in the industry are pressuring the Hanuman team not to release on January 12. Hanuman and Guntur Kaaram will be released in theatres on the same day.

Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the pre-release event of Hanuman. Chiranjeevi made some comments in this regard: "Teja Sajja, who is playing as a hero in Hanuman, struggled a lot for the movie. No matter how many movies are released for Sankranthi, the audience will encourage them. Hanuman might not get enough theatres, but the audience will watch it for sure if the content is good. They might take time to take to the film but they will certainly do so. All the movies that are released for Sankranthi should perform well along with Hanuman at the box office. Our industry should also shine and be good."

Chiru also recalled a 2017 incident, which saw the release of Dil Raju's Shatamanam Bhavati alongside two big movies. It was a risk for Raju to release a small movie against the movies of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Yet, Shatamanam Bhavati became a big hit at the box office. Chiru hoped that Hanuman, too, would see a similar range of success.

Hanuman is directed by Prashanth Varma.
