No Clarity On Kalki 2898 AD Release Date!

The suspense and confusion over Rebel Star Prabhas’ upcoming movie Kalki 2898 seems to be continuing. The makers of the movie released a glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan's character on Sunday. Everyone had expected that the makers would announce the release date along with the glimpse video. However, no date was put out. 

The film’s producer, C Ashwini Dutt, wants a price hike for Kalki 2898 AD tickets in the Telugu States. The election results will be on June 4. If the new government issues a GO about the ticket hike, the makers could announce a new release date as soon as it happens. 

The film is in the post-production stage. VFX and CG works are pending as of now. These are also the reasons for the delay. Probably, Kalki 2898AD could get released sometime in July.

Kalki features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The film is financed by Vyjayanthi Movies. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer
