AP FACT CHECK: The Andhra Pradesh Government continued its mission to tackle the spread of disinformation by several media organizations spreading fake news about the Government and the measures being taken for people’s welfare.

The news article posted on ‘Eenadu’ tittled ‘Peruku Chattam, ennellu unna em laabham’ officials have clarified that the information written in article published is false. Eenadu Newspaper on Tuesday published an article in the newspaper that points out the SCs sub-plan showing the expenditure on various social pensions for SCs and STs.

The present government just like the previous one had established initiatives such as social pensions, pensions for the disabled, and mid-day meal expenses as a part of the sub-plan for SCs and STs. The article written on Tuesday deliberately puts the present government in a bad light, pointing out the mistreatment of the initiatives which is not true.

Initiatives by CBN government such as ‘Maa inti Mahalakshmi’, Nutrition for mother & child, Anna Amrutha Hastham, Chandranna Pelli Kanuka, NTR Sujala Sravanthi, Sanitary napkins to DWCRA women, Chandranna Rythu Kshthras, Polambadi and Jawahar Knowledge Centers were highlighted in the ‘Eenadu’ Newspapers, daily.

In this regard, the Sub Castes Component (Earlier Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan) 2018-19, Volume VII/3 of the budget was presented by the then Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishna on March 2018, highlighting these initiatives.
